FAQs

Answers to popular questions you might have about Zaiko.

What does Zaiko do?

Plus icon

Zaiko gives small retailers the same tools big chains use to grow and stay profitable, without the complexity.

Zaiko Scan → Upload invoices or receipts and instantly get clean, usable data for inventory, cost tracking, and margin protection. No more late nights with spreadsheets or missed vendor errors.

Zaiko Rewards → Build your customer list with phone numbers at checkout, then send SMS campaigns, run loyalty points or punch cards, and reward regulars with ease. Keep shoppers engaged and coming back more often.

Together, Zaiko helps stores save time, protect margins, and increase repeat sales.

Who is Zaiko for?

Plus icon

Zaiko is built for independent retailers who need to run smarter but can’t afford enterprise systems. Whether you own a grocery store, liquor store, corner market, boutique, specialty food shop, or neighborhood hardware store, Zaiko helps you:

- Automate the repetitive work that eats up staff time.

- Protect profits from costly errors and overlooked vendor price changes.

- Compete with chain retailers by offering professional-grade loyalty programs and customer engagement tools.

If you’re running a small store where every dollar and every customer counts, Zaiko was designed for you.

How secure is my data on Zaiko?

Plus icon

We take data protection seriously. Zaiko uses:

- End-to-end encryption for all invoice files, customer data, and transaction details.

- Secure cloud servers that meet modern compliance standards.

- Role-based access controls so only the right people on your team can view sensitive information.

- Regular updates and monitoring to stay ahead of threats.

Simply put, your store’s data is as secure with Zaiko as it would be in a top enterprise platform, but built for small retailers.

Can Zaiko integrate with existing tools?

Plus icon

Zaiko is designed to fit the way you already operate:

- No POS? Works with just a cash register + card reader, logging sales manually in seconds.

- Basic POS? Import daily reports or CSV files for reconciliation and tracking.

- Modern POS? We integrate directly with platforms like Square and Clover, pulling in transactions automatically.

- Accounting/ERP? Zaiko connects to existing back-office systems to keep your books and inventory in sync.

No matter your setup, Zaiko makes adoption simple; you don’t need to rip out what you already have.

Does Zaiko support alcohol/tobacco rewards?

Plus icon

Zaiko Rewards was built with compliance in mind.

Alcohol → In Missouri (and many other states), loyalty rewards are allowed as long as they are uniform across all intoxicating liquors and funded by the retailer (not the wholesaler). We designed Zaiko to respect those rules, so you can safely include alcohol in your loyalty program.

Tobacco → Rules are stricter and vary by state. To avoid risk, Zaiko excludes tobacco from rewards by default. If your store wants to explore this, we recommend reviewing local regulations and consulting legal counsel.

With Zaiko, you get flexible tools while staying on the right side of compliance.
